Curriculum

At Pennycross, we have designed a curriculum that will provide children with rich experiences to enable them to become confident, creative and independent members of our community. The curriculum is rooted in our locality, drawing on the expertise and knowledge available on our doorstep as we believe this provides the opportunity to bring learning to life for children at Pennycross.

Eight core values underpin the curriculum. Through teaching and learning and our school ethos, the children learn to show empathy and respect as well as being taught to be reflective, creative, ambitious, determined, confident and conscientious; values that are consistently modelled to the children by all members of staff at Pennycross.

Our expectations are high and we ensure that learning is ambitious for all children to enable them to be 'free to fly'.
